Save Money on Haircut

Haircuts in USA can be an expensive affair. Consider the following options to cut down your family's haircut expenses:

  1. Look up the local cosmetology school in your area. Haircuts cost anywhere from $5-$12 when you head to a school instead of a salon. To find a school near you go to Beautyschoolsdirectory.com
  2. Another option is to hair model for a salon. You don't have as much say in your haircut as you would if you were paying for it, but most stylists will stay within your perimeters
  3. Look for coupons. Check your local newspaper and junk mailers for salon coupons, and get on the mailing list of your favorite salon for a chance at even more coupons
  4. Stretch the time between visits: Stretch the time between cuts, and you'll save big. Having your hair cut every eight weeks instead of every six saves two visits off of your yearly total. Not bad, huh?
  5. Donate Hair and Get a Free Cut: Many salons host free haircut events to benefit Locks of Love and similar organizations. Locate one of these events in your area; donate your hair; and you'll help others while helping yourself to a free cut
  6. Let your friends and family cut your hair
  7. Stick to a simple hairccut, buy your own hair cutters or scissors and do it yourself
